On the palate, the Smooth and medium-bodied with wheat sweetness is fine but not exciting. At $20, I'd expect more character. The clean with a gentle grain warmth is pleasant but brief. A reliable mixer.

As someone who's been appreciating quality vodka for years, this is among the finest I've encountered at this price point. On the nose I get grain sweetness — let it warm slightly in the glass and the aromas open up. The palate is where it really shines: Smooth and medium-bodied with wheat sweetness with beautiful texture. The Absolut Company / Pernod Ricard has clearly mastered their craft.

What strikes me most is the balance. It's clean enough for a classic Martini but has enough body and character to sip neat. Lovely soft texture, hints of anise and white chocolate on the nose, and a palate that's both silky and precise. Equally at home in a cocktail bar or a quiet evening at home.
