Not for me

I wanted to like this more than I did. The nose has Bright lemon zest and lime with a fresh but on the palate there's a harshness that I wasn't expecting from the review. The Well-balanced sweetness described didn't come through for me. The Clean and citrusy with a refreshing fade has a burn where I wanted clean warmth. Others clearly rate it highly so it may be personal preference. Won't be buying another bottle though.

Stunning quality

What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you a subtle citrus note and lovely character, and on the palate it's all about Very approachable. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with clean with gentle corn sweetness. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. The review here nails it.

A real gem

Picked this up after reading the review here and it's everything they said and more. The almond sweetness drew me in from the first pour. On the palate, star anise are elegant rather than aggressive — exactly what you want from a quality vodka. The Medium is clean and inviting. Makes a brilliant Martini and equally good sipped neat. This will be a permanent fixture on my shelf.

Blown away by this vodka

Bought this on the strength of the review here and I'm so glad I did. The cranberry-like tartness on the nose are subtle but present, and the palate delivers — Sharp and refreshing — lingonberry tartness with wonderful texture. The finish has Tart and lingering that proves vodka is far from flavourless. Hats off to Laplandia — this is exceptional craft. Already on my second bottle.

Worth every penny

I was reading the tasting notes in the review and thought they sounded too good to be true for a vodka, but they're accurate. The Understated but genuine is genuinely there, the Smooth and medium-bodied delivers, and the Medium length is exactly as described. Served this at a tasting with friends last weekend — everyone was surprised how much character it has. We did a blind comparison against two other brands and this won hands down.

A reliable pour that won't blow your mind but does the job. The nose has Clean and fresh with subtle corn sweetness — the review is accurate there. The palate gives you Pure and unadorned, which is fine but a bit safe. I keep reaching for other bottles when I want to sip neat, but for cocktails it's hard to complain. The clean and pleasant with gentle sweetness is clean.

It's a solid vodka. The nose has black pepper and toasted bread, but on the palate the Beautifully crafted single-estate expression doesn't quite deliver the complexity I was hoping for. The a savoury mineral edge is a bit brief. Still enjoyable though — I keep reaching for it when making cocktails rather than sipping neat.

Exceptionally smooth with real character

This is exactly what premium vodka should be — clean and smooth on entry but with genuine character underneath. There's a subtle sweetness like fresh bread, a hint of white pepper on the mid-palate, and a finish that's warming without any harshness. Neat or over ice, it's superb.

Better than expected

Mixed feelings. On the nose I got the Clean — subtle grain character and a hint of sweetness — that part is nice. But the gentle warmth didn't match the promise for me. Mid-palate feels a bit thin. Still, it's better than many bottles at this price and the Clean and measured — grain fading gently is reasonable. Worth trying at least once, especially in a Martini.

Good quality spirit but slightly overpriced for what it is. The white pepper is the highlight — Rich and complex — vanilla cream and well-presented. On the palate, the rye spice is fine but not exciting. At $30, I'd expect more character. The clove spice is pleasant but brief. A reliable mixer.

Beautifully balanced

One of the most well-crafted vodkas I've tasted. The kelp promises quality, and the palate delivers with marine botanical depth. Nothing feels harsh or out of place. The Medium-long with lingering sea salt ties it all together. I tried it neat, chilled, and in a Moscow Mule — it shines in all three. The grain base gives it a distinctive character. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Grey Goose is outstanding

The nose on this is lovely — I immediately got almond sweetness and subtle complexity. On the palate, the light citrus is beautifully done, and the Medium. I agree with the editorial review — this is a seriously impressive vodka. Tried it neat at room temperature first, then chilled from the freezer. Both excellent, but neat at room temp shows off the character better.

I can see why people rate this but it's not quite my favourite. The Creamy sweetcorn is clean — really approachable — but the palate is a touch too neutral for my preferences. The subtle mineral character and a rounded is smooth and easy, which makes it good for vodka newcomers. I was expecting a bit more character given the editorial score.

Disappointing for the price

Bit disappointed. The nose is fine — I got some Fresh lemon zest — but on the palate it's too one-dimensional. At £44.50, I expect more character. The refreshing dry close drops off quickly. The tasting notes in the review didn't match my experience. Might work better in cocktails than neat.
