Kavka Vodka — Classic Polish Heritage is outstanding
The nose on this is lovely — I immediately got a gentle nuttiness with subtle floral honey and Rich rye bread. On the palate, the fresh sourdough is beautifully done, and the black pepper. I agree with the editorial review — this is a seriously impressive vodka. Tried it neat at room temperature first, then chilled from the freezer. Both excellent, but neat at room temp shows off the character better.
4 February 2026Stunning quality
What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you citrus blossom and Elegant and fruity with fresh grapes, and on the palate it's all about a floral lift. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with smooth and clean with a gentle fruity sweetness. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. The review here nails it.
1 February 2026Decent everyday vodka
A reliable pour that won't blow your mind but does the job. The nose has Clean and subtly earthy — potato — the review is accurate there. The palate gives you rich potato mouthfeel, which is fine but a bit safe. I keep reaching for other bottles when I want to sip neat, but for cocktails it's hard to complain. The Clean and medium — earth and pepper is clean.
27 December 2025Worth every penny
I was reading the tasting notes in the review and thought they sounded too good to be true for a vodka, but they're accurate. The Understated but genuine is genuinely there, the Smooth and medium-bodied delivers, and the Medium length is exactly as described. Served this at a tasting with friends last weekend — everyone was surprised how much character it has. We did a blind comparison against two other brands and this won hands down.
6 March 2026Stunning quality
What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you a bright citrus clarity over clean wheat and Fresh lemon zest, and on the palate it's all about Crisp and elegant with lemon zest. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with Medium with lingering lemon brightness and a clean. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. The review here nails it.
7 April 2026Exceptional smoothness
As someone who's been appreciating quality vodka for years, this is among the finest I've encountered at this price point. On the nose I get Notes of soft bread and a subtle nuttiness — let it warm slightly in the glass and the aromas open up. The palate is where it really shines: Genuinely fascinating with Smooth and surprisingly vibrant for its age. Martini & Rossi has clearly mastered their craft.
19 November 2025Decent everyday vodka
A reliable pour that won't blow your mind but does the job. The nose has Bright lemon zest and lime with a fresh — the review is accurate there. The palate gives you Well-balanced sweetness, which is fine but a bit safe. I keep reaching for other bottles when I want to sip neat, but for cocktails it's hard to complain. The Clean and citrusy with a refreshing fade is clean.
7 February 2026Ketel One is outstanding
The nose on this is lovely — I immediately got white pepper and Fresh and citrusy with clean wheat. On the palate, the soft wheat sweetness is beautifully done, and the finish is clean and satisfying. I agree with the editorial review — this is a seriously impressive vodka. Tried it neat at room temperature first, then chilled from the freezer. Both excellent, but neat at room temp shows off the character better.
19 February 2026My new favourite vodka
Third bottle in and it just gets better. The nose opens with dried herbs — I also picked up delicate notes that the review mentions. On the palate, soft cereal notes is spot on, and there's a Smooth and velvety with a gentle sweetness that makes this incredibly smooth. The finish closes with clean with a gentle peppery warmth that fades gracefully. This has become my go-to. Makes an incredible Martini too.
19 February 2026Better than expected
Mixed feelings. On the nose I got the Crisp and clean — that part is nice. But the Soft and light didn't match the promise for me. Mid-palate feels a bit thin. Still, it's better than many bottles at this price and the Short to medium is reasonable. Worth trying at least once, especially in a Martini.
19 April 2026Disappointing for the price
Bit disappointed. The nose is fine — I got some Pristine purity with delicate cream — but on the palate it's too one-dimensional. At £156.00, I expect more character. The Long drops off quickly. The tasting notes in the review didn't match my experience. Might work better in cocktails than neat.
30 December 2025Stunning quality
What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you citrus blossom and Elegant and fruity with fresh grapes, and on the palate it's all about a floral lift. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with Medium-long. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. The review here nails it.
5 February 2026Expected more
Not terrible but not worth the premium. The nose promised Bright lemon zest and Seville orange peel and some depth, but the palate is flat and the Medium-long disappears too quickly. I've had better vodkas at half the price. The The potato base provides excellent weight the review describes wasn't apparent to me. Perhaps I got a bad bottle.
22 November 2025Decent everyday vodka
A reliable pour that won't blow your mind but does the job. The nose has Clean and fresh with subtle corn sweetness — the review is accurate there. The palate gives you Pure and unadorned, which is fine but a bit safe. I keep reaching for other bottles when I want to sip neat, but for cocktails it's hard to complain. The clean and pleasant with gentle sweetness is clean.
27 January 2026Exceptional smoothness
As someone who's been appreciating quality vodka for years, this is among the finest I've encountered at this price point. On the nose I get vanilla — let it warm slightly in the glass and the aromas open up. The palate is where it really shines: Very approachable with Smooth and slightly sweet. Fifth Generation / Mockingbird Distillery has clearly mastered their craft.
14 December 2025A real gem
Picked this up after reading the review here and it's everything they said and more. The natural citrus character and clean base drew me in from the first pour. On the palate, Well-balanced sweetness are elegant rather than aggressive — exactly what you want from a quality vodka. The Clean and citrusy with a refreshing fade is clean and inviting. Makes a brilliant Martini and equally good sipped neat. This will be a permanent fixture on my shelf.
9 January 2026Simply brilliant
I keep coming back to this bottle and appreciating the subtlety. The white flowers on the nose is genuinely there if you take a moment to notice. On the palate, white pepper is rich and satisfying, with honey developing. A vodka that rewards attention. At 40% ABV, the proof is perfectly judged.
2 February 2026Stunning quality
What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you makrut leaf and gentle ginger warmth and lime zest, and on the palate it's all about makrut leaf herbal notes and a warming ginger spice. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with Long and aromatic with lingering pandan. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. The review here nails it.
2 January 2026Not for me
I wanted to like this more than I did. The nose has Fruity and appealing with a natural berry sweetness but on the palate there's a harshness that I wasn't expecting from the review. The Smooth and berry-forward described didn't come through for me. The finish has a burn where I wanted clean warmth. Others clearly rate it highly so it may be personal preference. Won't be buying another bottle though.
7 April 2026Better than expected
Mixed feelings. On the nose I got the subtle rye spice — that part is nice. But the Not sweet or artificial didn't match the promise for me. Mid-palate feels a bit thin. Still, it's better than many bottles at this price and the clean grapefruit bitterness with a lingering rye warmth is reasonable. Worth trying at least once, especially in a Martini.
