7/10

Grey Goose's pear expression marries Anjou pear essence with the brand's signature Picardy wheat base. Elegant and restrained, this is flavoured vodka done with Gallic sophistication.

Third bottle in and it just gets better. The nose opens with white flowers and a trace of almond — I also picked up Ripe Anjou pear that the review mentions. On the palate, Smooth and gently sweet with authentic pear flavour is spot on, and there's a richness that makes this incredibly smooth. The finish closes with a satisfying warmth. This has become my go-to. Makes an incredible Martini too.

It's a solid vodka. The nose has Ripe Anjou pear and white flowers and a trace of almond, but on the palate the Smooth and gently sweet with authentic pear flavour doesn't quite deliver the complexity I was hoping for. The finish is a bit brief. Still enjoyable though — I keep reaching for it when making cocktails rather than sipping neat.
