Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich earth and warm potato with a savoury, almost umami quality. More restrained than the 2010 vintage, with an elegant mineral thread.

Palate

Creamy and full, with roasted potato and a gentle nuttiness. The 2011 season produced a slightly leaner spirit with excellent structure.

Finish

Long and earthy, with a clean mineral dryness and gentle warmth.

Expert Review

8/10

The 2011 Kaszebe vintage from Vestal is a leaner, more structured expression than its 2010 predecessor. Made from Vineta potatoes and minimally filtered, it offers genuine terroir character at a price that borders on the absurd for a spirit of this quality.
