Nose
Mellow and softened by decades, with a gentle sweetness, faint vanilla, and a subtle oxidative quality. Characterful in a way modern vodka rarely is.
Palate
Smooth and rounded with a waxy texture from bottle ageing. Gentle grain sweetness and a warmth that speaks to an era of less aggressive distillation techniques.
Finish
Medium-length with a gentle, mellow warmth and fading grain notes.
Expert Review
7/10Stefanof Imperial Vodka is a charming period piece — an Italian-made vodka from the 1960s, dressed up in Russian-style branding. The spirit has mellowed beautifully with age, offering a drinking experience that is fascinatingly different from anything produced today. A collector's delight.

View All (1)The nose on this is lovely — I immediately got faint vanilla and subtle complexity. On the palate, the Smooth and rounded with a waxy texture from bottle ageing is beautifully done, and the mellow warmth and fading grain notes. I agree with the editorial review — this is a seriously impressive vodka. Tried it neat at room temperature first, then chilled from the freezer. Both excellent, but neat at room temp shows off the character better.
