Heritage & Distillery

Grey Goose Citron applies the brand's meticulous five-step production process to a lemon-infused variant that has earned a loyal following among bartenders and discerning drinkers. The lemon zest infusion is conducted with the same attention to quality that characterises everything Grey Goose produces, and the result is a citrus vodka that manages to be both distinctly flavourful and elegantly restrained.

Production & Tasting

On the nose, Citron is bright and inviting — fresh lemon zest dominates, with a Meyer lemon sweetness that adds depth and a citrus clarity that is unmistakably natural in character. The clean wheat base provides a foundation that supports rather than competes with the citrus.

The palate is crisp and elegant, with lemon zest providing a vibrant top note, delicate tartness adding complexity, and the smooth, silky Grey Goose mouthfeel ensuring continuity with the core expression's premium credentials. This is not a sharp or aggressive lemon vodka but one of genuine sophistication. The finish is medium, with lemon brightness persisting before a clean, refreshing, dry close.

Verdict

Grey Goose Citron is among the finest lemon-flavoured vodkas available, and its elegance makes it a natural choice for Lemon Drop Martinis and other citrus-forward cocktails where quality matters. The premium over standard Grey Goose is the same £1.75 as L'Orange, and the quality is equally justified. Recommended for those who appreciate subtlety in their flavoured spirits.

What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you a bright citrus clarity over clean wheat and Fresh lemon zest, and on the palate it's all about Crisp and elegant with lemon zest. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with Medium with lingering lemon brightness and a clean. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. The review here nails it.

Oscar Delgado VIPsAllowed Disappointing for the price
5/10

Bit disappointed. The nose is fine — I got some Fresh lemon zest — but on the palate it's too one-dimensional. At £44.50, I expect more character. The refreshing dry close drops off quickly. The tasting notes in the review didn't match my experience. Might work better in cocktails than neat.
